5/2 vs 5/3 Way Valves

A 5/2 directional control valve has 5 ports and 2 positions — it directs air to extend or retract a cylinder. A 5/3 valve has a third (centre) position that can exhaust both cylinder ports, block flow, or pressurise both ports simultaneously, making it ideal for mid-stroke stopping or float positions.
